The winners for the 34th Gawad Urian Awards were announced tonight, May 17, 2011, at the Marriott Hotel in Resorts World Manila.

The 34th Gawad Urian Awards has over a hundred nominees competing in only 14 categories.

Rosanna Roces won as Best Supporting Actress for "Presa". It's already her 2nd Urian Award. She previously won as Best Actress for "La Vida Rosa" in 2001.

Joem Bascon got his first Urian award this year as Best Supporting Actor for "Noy".

The Best Actress trophy went to indie film actress Fe GingGing Hyde for the film "Sheika" while Sid Lucero won his 2nd Best Actor award from Urian.

Sid previously won in Urian for the gay-themed indie film "Selda" 3 years ago and he won again this year for another gay indie movie, the Adolf Alix film "Muli".

In "Muli", Sid portrayed a gay role and did some love scenes with Cogie Domingo. Sid posted on Twitter last July 2010 that it's already hist LAST gay role.

Last month, Sid also won for the same gay role during the 8th Enpress Awards.

Sid probably will change his mind now and will accept more gay roles since that's what gives him more acting honors.

My "inaanak" Sofia in new Sun Cellular TVC

I'm proud to introduce to you 5-year-old Sofia, who happens to be my "inaanak", in Sun Cellular's newest TVC for its Todo IDD Tawag Card.

Watch video:

Sofia might be familiar to you as she already appeared in previous TVCs. She was in a TVC for Jollibee and also in Wow! Busog Bologna TVC (video below) where she popularized the line "Bologna po ito!".

She also has two new TVCs coming up and another one for Wow! Ulam this time with its main endorser, Kapamilya actor Coco Martin.

On TV, she already played daughter to Iza Calzado in the soap "Beauty Queen".

An adorable, charming and talented kid, Sofia is the daughter of my bestfriend since high school.

'Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin' full trailer is out!

The excitement is so high for 'Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin', an upcoming teleserye on ABS-CBN.

Initially planned to premiere last February 14, 'Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin' is finally airing this March 7 on the network's Primetime Bida block.

The full official trailer of the new soap has been revealed earlier and it looks so exciting.

I was so surprised to see Kapamilya leading ladies Kim Chiu and Erich Gonzales having special roles in 'Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin'.

Kim plays for the first time a contravida role, as young Lorna Tolentino, while Erich is the young Amy Austria.

Aside from Kim and Erich, also doing a special participation are Albert Martinez, Agot Isidro and Xian Lim (as young John Estrada).

The trailer has also revealed that Coco Martin is portraying dual roles or should I say, award-winning roles, as Alexander and Javier.

Having two "Coco Martin" in 'Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin' is just one of the many things for the Kapamilya viewers to get excited with.

Playing leading ladies to Coco are Maja Salvador and Andi Eigenmann.

ABS-CBN releases full official trailer of "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin"

The full official trailer of the upcoming action-drama series "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" made its debut earlier tonight, as shown on ABS-CBN right after Mara Clara.

"Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" boasts of a powerhouse cast which include Coco Martin, Maja Salvador, Andi Eigenmann, Martin Del Rosario, Ronaldo Valdez, Dante Rivero, Boots Anson-Roa, Ronnie Lazaro, John Estrada, Tonton Gutierrez, Amy Austria and Lorna Tolentino.

It marks Coco's first primetime teleserye where he finally plays the main male lead and not just the second lead.

And I hope Coco is not gonna die in the said new show (unlike in Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, Agimat: Tonyong Bayawak and iDOL).

Watch its trailer:

"Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" will premiere this February on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida.

Coco Martin endorses Nescafé 3-in-1 Brown 'N Creamy

Coco Martin appears in his 3rd major TVC, after "Wow Ulam" and "Cossack Blue".

The star of the upcoming soap "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin" is the new endorser of Nescafe coffee, specifically for its 3-in-1 Brown 'N Creamy label.

Coco is actually 1 of the 3 newest endorsers of the said coffee brand. The other two are Sarah Geronimo for 3 in 1 Original Flavor and Arnel Pineda for 3 in 1 Strong 'N Rich.

Watch Coco Martin's Nescafe 3-in-1 TVC:

"Bango", "yummy" and "ibang klaseng sarap" - that's how Coco describes his new endorsement. Or is he describing himself?

Fans who saw his new TVC find Coco much hotter than the coffee. (I second the motion!)

Let's also watch out for a brand new TVC of Coco for Wow Ulam in 2011. He will be joined by the cutie little girl from Wow Bologna TVC.

ABS-CBN presents its 2011 BidaBEST shows

ABS-CBN has already started airing its "BidaBEST" plug for its upcoming programs this 2011.

Starting January 1, 2011, expect a new "Showtime" as it starts Season 3, a much more exciting season of the show.

Willie Revillame probably is happy to hear that.

Aside from Showtime Season 3, other new shows included in the BidaBEST plug are as follows:

Bimby likes Coco Martin but not Dingdong Dantes

Just like any other normal kids, Baby James Yap aka Bimby also has his likes and dislikes.

Bimby likes Kim Chiu and Coco Martin, whom he got to work with in "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo".

But he doesn't like Dingdong Dantes, who campaigned for his Tito Noynoy Aquino during the elections.

Bimby made that revelation at the presscon of her mom Kris and Dingdong for Goldilocks the other day.

But Kris was quick to explain on Twitter last night as to why Bimby doesn't like Dingdong, whom Kris has a movie with under GMA Films in 2011. "I would just like to explain y bimby said I don't like dingdong yesterday at our goldilocks event regardless of my saying but he's Tito Noy's friend. Bimby said because you're my mom. Sa presscon I had made kwento that in original GMA films concept I was married to Dong & pregnant. I was desperate to have a baby so resorted to have black magic & kulam. I became possessive and the other women pinag selosan ko started dropping dead. Bimby heard the pregnant & other baby part, hence the I don't like dingdong comment because he felt magkaka new baby."

She then added, "I maintain that entire Aquino family loves Dong and will always be grateful to him for campaigning tirelessly for PNoy."

Baby James is only 3 years old but wow, he's already a headliner and he's unafraid to tell the world who he likes and who he doesn't like. Keep it up Bimby!

Meanwhile, on SNN last night, Kris shared that she was so relieved and happy when she learned that Bimby was fond of kissing his girl "blonde" classmate. "So, at least alam namin na lalakeng-lalake siya kasi girl 'ung gusto nyang halikan."

Too early to tell, but it's a good sign.
