Christian Bautista's 'A Special Symphony' tackles plight of special children

Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista's first international film A Special Symphony celebrates music, love, friendship and the inspiration that people can get from special kids.

The movie, set to open nationwide on August 3, will have its Red Carpet Premiere this July 31, Sunday, 8:00 p.m., Robinson's Galleria.

"It is an inspiring movie- honest, simple, but powerful," says Christian. "I hope everyone will be inspired when they watch the movie."

Christian, currently in the thick of taping for the international musical series The Kitchen Musical with Karylle in Singapore, will go home for the day of the movie's Premiere Night.

A Special Symphony follows the journey of Filipino struggling singer Jayden (Christian) towards finding his purpose and happiness.

The movie is bold in tackling the needs of special children in the movie and how music, love, and friendship make life more enjoyable for them. Some members of the cast are, in fact, special kids.

The movie is being endorsed by Autism Society of the Phillipines.

A Special Symphony was inspired by the amazing story of a chorus of special children in Beijing, China, and how their exposure to music stimulated their minds, developed their well-being, and earned them the adulation of many people.

The song I am already King, which topped the MYX Daily Countdown and OPM Countdown for numerous days, is the movie's theme. The single is the carrier track in Universal Records' latest compilation album The Best of OPM Love Songs Vol.1.

A Special Symphony is produced by Nation Pictures Indonesia and is directed by Awi Suryada. It also stars Ira Wibowo, Ira Maya Sopha, and Gista Putri.

The movie will premiere in Indonesia this September.

"2NE1: The Party" Manila concert photos and videos

Kpop group 2NE1 performed for the Filipino fans Saturday night, June 4, 2011, at the Araneta Coliseum.

It was 2NE1's first ever Live in Manila, Philippines concert, but not for its member Dara or most familiar to Pinoys as Sandara Park. The concert marked Sandara's comeback performance in the country where she first became popular both as as a singer and actress 5-6 years ago.

The said 2NE1 concert was dubbed as "The Party: 2NE1 Live in Manila" and also featured Pinoy performers as front-acts: Christian Bautista, Callalily, The Bloomfields, Techy Romantics and the Philippine All Stars.

The 2-year-old K-pop group sang only 8 songs in the concert such as "Fire", "I Don't Care", "Can't Nobody", "Go Away", "Please Don't Go", "Lonely", "Clap Your Hands" and "In Or Out".

Some of Sandara's batchmates from Star Circle Quest were spotted at the audience: Melissa Ricks, Raphael Martinez and (ex-boyfriend) Joseph Bitangcol.

2NE1 'Live in Manila' concert on May 15 to feature Christian Bautista as special guest

Korean pop group 2NE1 will be staging a concert in Manila on May 15 with Asiansation Christian Bautista as its special guest performer.

Christian Bautista is easily the favorite male act of international performers because after collaborating with K-pop band One Way and opening for Rain’s recent concert in Manila, he is once again tapped to perform during the much-awaited concert of 2NE1 this coming May 15, 2011, at the Araneta Coliseum.

“I am looking forward to this wonderful opportunity,” says Christian. “I’ll prepare very hard for this exciting stint.”

The 2NE1 concert, dubbed as The Party, marks the return of our beloved Sandara Park or Dara to the Philippines. Sandara enjoyed instant fame in the Philippines years ago when she joined the ABS-CBN's talents search Star Circle Quest and finished as 1st Runner Up.

CL, Bom and Minzy are the other members of 2NE1, who is considered as one of the best K-pop girl groups to date.

The Chinese New Year 2011 or the Year of the Metal Rabbit is coming in a few hours and ABS-CBN will have a countdown of it tonight.

ABS-CBN celebrates the 2011 Chinese New Year with the Filipino-Chinese community tonight at the Quirino Grand Stand featuring some of your favorite Kapamilya stars.

It will be hosted by Pokwang, Jayson Gainza, TJ Manotoc and Venus Raj.

Last night, January 20, 2011, was the grand launch of Inside Showbiz
magazine at the new KYSS Restaurant and Lounge Bar in Makati City.

This blog, Mykiru Isyusero, was invited to attend the launch, where a good number of celebrities showed up including Sen. Ramon 'Bong' Revilla, Jr. and Hayden Kho, Jr.

Yeah, Sen. Bong and Hayden were both there, but the latter came so late. (The two had a word war on TV late 2010 still in connection with
the 2009 video scandal.)

Starting today, January 10, 2011, Asiansation Christian Bautista will sit as a "hurado" or judge on ABS-CBN's "Showtime".

How cool is that?

He replaces Vice Ganda's new love Paolo Hubalde who got evicted last Saturday.

I'm excited to see Christian's electrifying dance moves as he does "sample" for the Madlang Pipol.

With quite a huge following, Christian will definitely stay longer in the show.

It's good 'coz he will have the chance to promote his Valentine concert "My Beautiful Girls" at the Newport Peforming Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila on February 14.

Christian Bautista, Sabrina and Aiza Seguerra each received a Special Citation award for their platinum-selling albums released in other Asian countries.

Christian's "Romance Revisited" album achieved 2x platinum status in Indonesia, Aiza's "Open Arms" also reached platinum mark in Singapore while Sabrina's "I Love Acoustic" album was a platinum record in Indonesia and a gold record in Thailand.

The Elite Platinum Circle 2010 award, the highest honor, went to Martin Nieverra who had 18 platinum, 5 double platinum, 3 triple platinum and 1 quadruple platinum albums in his entire career.

Sam Milby, Christian Bautista added to MYX Mo 2010 Performers Line-Up

Rockoustic heart-throb Sam Milby and Asia's Pop Idol Christian Bautista have been added to the list of performers in the Myx Mo 2010 this November 18 at SM MOA Concert Grounds.

They're actually just 2 of more than 20 OPM artists who have been added to the previously announced line-up of Myx Mo 2010 performers.

Newly-announced performers include Jed Madela, Nina, Kyla, Richard Poon, Markki Stroem, Young JV, 6CycleMind, Kamikazee, The Company, Sugarfree, The Dawn, Itchyworms, Moymoy Palaboy, Paraluman, Tanya Markova, Pedicab, Mayonnaise, Urbandub, Slapshock, General Luna, Krissy & Ericka and Parokya Ni Edgar.

They now join previously announced performers such as SpongeCola, Yeng Constantino, Kitchie Nadal, Barbie Almalbis, Nyoy Volante, Kjwan, Callalily, Imago and Mr. Ogie Alcasid.

The total number of performers is now 32 and as the event draws near, Myx might announce more additions to the line-up. (I hope they include Jovit Baldivino.)

With that, MYX Mo 2010 will indeed be the biggest music event in the Philippines this year.

Myx Mo is an annual event of MYX, but this year, it's going to be extra special 'coz it will also be the 10th year anniversary celebration of the said music channel.

Princes of OPM on PINOY song magazine

Three male singers dubbed as the "Princes of OPM" on the cover of PINOY song magazine for its October-November 2010 issue.

They are Prince of RNB Jay R Sillona, Asia's Pop Idol Christian Bautista and Pop Heartthrob Mark Bautista.

Prince of Pop Erik Santos I think should have taken the place of Mark or at least, be part of the cover as he is also deserving to be called "Prince of OPM".

But anyway, the latest issue is PINOY's 7th anniversary special.

It's available now at all 7/11 and Mini-Stop outlets, Odyssey Record Bars, magazine stores and newsstands nationwide.

October 10, 2010 (10-10-10): "Star Power" premieres on ABS-CBN

It's 10-10-10! Star Power: Sharon's Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar will premiere tonight on ABS-CBN.

It's hosted by the MegaStar Sharon with Prince of Pop Erik Santos and Asiansation Christian Bautista as her co-hosts.

Judges include Direk Bobot Mortiz, Mitch Valdez and Billy Crawford. Arnel Pineda will also sit as judge on future episodes.

Top 20 finalists have been chosen already last September 10 and 3 possible finalists are Joy Laquinario, Kaye Razel Racho and Rose Ann Francisco.

Star Power will be aired right after Goin' Bulilit.

A lot of exciting things are actually happening this October 10, 2010 (10-10-10) other than the Star Power premiere.

The Run for the Pasig River already happened this morning from Makati Ave. to the SM Mall of Asia. Manny Pacquiao and Piolo Pascual were among the celebs who participated in the event.

The Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2010 that happened last night was definitely
owned by Kapamilya hunk and iDOL lead star Sam Milby.

As the Cosmo Men cover guy, Sam Milby was finale of the show and he
deserved it. He was certainly at his best and hottest form.
