The Azkals made one historic win vs Team Mongolia earlier tonight, February 9, 2011, at the Panaad Park & Stadium in Bacolod City, Philippines. It was the first time Azkals played in their homeland and definitely, it worked on Azkals' favor winning 2 goals vs the goal-less Mongolian Blue Wolves.
Who were the heroes of the game?
They're Emilio "Emil or Chieffy" Caligdong (#13), who scored an amazing goal during the first half, and Phil Younghusband (#10) who scored during the extention time, on the 94th minute of the match.
Phil even made an acrobatic move (a tumbling somersault) on the soccer field after he scored the goal. (Did you notice his see-through shorts? A great view of Phil's butt and white underwear!)
The Azkals were in full control of the game. The ball was theirs most of the time and that explains why their goalkeeper Neil Etheridge had less exposure this time :-(, unlike in the AFF Suzuki Cup.
I'm pretty sure Neil didn't have a single sweat during the game haha.
Over 16,000 Filipino-filled crowd flocked the venue to cheer for the Azkals. They were wearing white, in support to the team's color for the game.

The Azkals vs Mongolia match, which was telecast live on Studio23, was the 1st leg of their Pre-Qualifying Playoffs for the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup.
The next leg will be on March 15 at the National Sports Stadium in Ulaton Bator, Mongolia.
