Seoul Music Awards 2011 winners: Girls' Generation (SNSD) wins Daesang Award for the 2nd consecutive year

The 20th Seoul Music Awards has just concluded tonight, January 20, 2011, in South Korea.
This year's Seoul Music Awards was presented at the Kyunghee University Hall of Peace in Seoul, attended by some of the hottest K-pop artists.

The all-female group Girls' Generation (SNSD) was the biggest winner, taking home the highest award called "Daesang" as well as the Hallyu and Popularity Awards.

It's already the 2nd consecutive year that SNSD won the Daesang award, only the 4th Kpop artist and the 1st female group to achieve such feat.

Girls' Generation is responsible for the hits like "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)", "Oh!", "Run Devil Run" and "Hoot" which even charted on our very own MYX Countdown.

SHINee's "Lucifer", the title track of their new album, is doing well both on the latest MYX International Top 20 (MIT 20) and MYX Hit Chart.

"Lucifer" is currently #8 at MIT20 on its 5th week in the countdown and it's also on the MYX Hit Chart for 4 weeks now, currently charting at #14.

Singapore Expo Hall 2, venue of the Kpop Night 2010 concert

The venue as well as the ticket details of the much-awaited Kpop Night 2010 in Singapore have already been revealed.

The last time Kpop Night was held was in 2008 at Singapore Indoor Stadium and for 2010, it's going to be held at Singapore Expo Hall 2 on October 23, 8PM.

The 6 Kpop groups performing for the event are: Big Bang, F.T. Island, Girls' Generation (SNSD), SHINee, Infinite and The Boss (D-NA).

Concert organizer Proof Label revealed on the official Korean Pop Night Concert 2010 Facebook Page details about the tickets but warns that they don't accept reservations and sales will only start by September 4.

K-POP Alert! Korean Pop Night 2010 Concert in Singapore | Performers line-up revealed!

Korean Pop Night Concert will be staged once again in Singapore on October 23, 2010.

That was confirmed by Proof Label Singapore, the K-pop Night 2010 concert organizer, last Sunday on its Facebook Page.

And just last night, Proof Label has revealed the line-up of performers, which include 6 K-pop groups. They are:

1. Big Bang
2. F.T. Island
3. Girls' Generation (SNSD)
4. Infinite
5. SHINee
6. ?

They're still keeping the 6th group a secret, which could mean, the last group to be revealed will be the main attraction or the highlight of the K-Pop Night 2010 concert.

Proof Label promises to reveal the 6th group very soon as well as the ticket details and the concert venue.

Now who do you want to be that 6th K-Pop group? Many are guessing it's 2NE1!

[Just last Friday, Aug. 27, Proof Label revealed that the 6th group is Dae Guk Nam Ah (D-NA)]

The Korean Pop Night Concert was last held in 2008 also in Singapore at the country's Indoors Stadium but had 4 K-pop groups (V.O.S (Voice of Soul), 2PM, U-Kiss, Wonder Girls) and 3 solo K-pop artists plus 2 local singers from Singapore.

SHINee "Lucifer" Full Music Video (MV) released

The full Music Video (MV) "Lucifer", the latest single of the comebacking KPOP group SHINee, has been officially released today, July 20, 2010.

"Lucifer" is actually the title song or the carrier single of SHINee's comeback album.

SHINee's fans in Korea and even in other parts of Asia including the
Philippines highly anticipated for Lucifer's full MV.

The so much excitement and anticipation started when Lucifer's teaser video was released two days ago, when fans got to see the new,
refreshing look of the 4 members of SHINee.

And now the long wait is over as the full MV of Lucifer makes its debut on the net today. Watch and enjoy:

Fans flock SHINee official website for the group's comeback album

It's now official that July 23 is the comeback date of Korean boy band SHINee, who's gone for just 8 months.

SM Entertainment, who manages SHINee (as well as Super Junior and Girls' Generation), has released an official statement to asiae.co.kr today that the group will stage its comeback on July 23 via the music television program "Music Bank" on KBS in Korea.

That's 4 days after SHINee's comeback album will be released on the 19th.

For the meantime, as fans are eagerly anticipating for the group's return, SM Entertainment has invited them today to visit SHINee's official website, shinee.smtown.com , and listen to a teaser medley of the 9 songs in the album.

The official website encountered so much traffic today, that at some points, it wasn't working properly.



But I was able to listen to it anyway and I super liked the last song. All of the songs are actually great and for sure, they're going to be hit like "Ring Ding Dong" which even charted on our very own MYX International Top 20.

SHINee is composed of Onew, Jonghyun, Key and Minho, and 3 of them already performed here in the Philippines last November.

SHINee July 2010 Comeback | The K-Pop Group is back!

After being gone for 8 months, Korean Pop-R&B group SHINee is staging a grand comeback this July 2010 in Korea.

The expected comeback date of SHINee is on July 19, but for now, "concept photos" of 3 of its 5 members have been released to possibly serve as "teasers" of the members' new look on their grand comeback.

The other two members are Kim Jonghyun and Kim Kibum or Key whose concept photos will be unveiled on the coming days.

SHINee has already performed here in the Philippines. They've been here last November for the Korean Cultural Festival, the culmination event of the 60th Anniversary of the Philippines - Korea Diplomatic Relations (Friendship Festival), held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

Their single "Ring Ding Dong" also entered MYX International Top 20 that month.
