Velvet's Tribute to the Oscars 2011 Photo Exhibit: Local celebs transform as Hollywood actors

John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Heart Evangelista, Dennis Trillo, Azkals and a lot more have transformed into Hollywood actors for Velvet Channel's Best of Hollywood photo exhibit last Thursday.

The said exhibit which was Velvet's tribute to the upcoming Oscars 2011 on Monday was held at the Archaelogy Wing of Power Plant Mall in Rockwell and is still available there for public viewing until March 3.

The Velvet photo exhibit was also a competition and winning the top prize was the team behind "Sherlock Holmes" featuring John Lloyd Cruz as Robert Downey, Jr.

This February 2011, Richard Gutierrez is Cosmopolitan Philippines' Man On Fire and will take Cosmo readers to a romantic adventure.

Apart from being the February 2011 Man On Fire of Cosmo Mag, Chard is also on the back cover of the magazine with this month's cover girl Solenn Heussaff, one of his leading ladies in "My Valentine Girls"
opening in theaters this February 9.

Jewel Mische and Richard Gutierrez still seeing each other?

Jewel Mische, who's now a new Kapamilya star, is reportedly still seeing her ex-boyfriend and Kapuso star Richard Gutierrez.

There's a rumor going on that Jewel and Richard were spotted having dinner together just last night at a restaurant in The Fort Bonifacio Global City.

That's on the same day when Jewel had her first ever guesting on The Buzz in the afternoon.

Are they back already as lovers? Or Chard is still winning her back?

Speaking of Jewel Mische on The Buzz yesterday, the new ABS-CBN star has gained the admiration of most Kapamilya viewers, including the Kimerald I suppose, with her spontaneity and witty responses to the questions thrown at her by Boy Abunda.

Though at times she gave lengthy answers and repeteadly said some of her lines, Jewel was actually smart and quick to answer Boy's questions.

If it was a job interview, she could have been hired on the spot.

Jewel, who looks like KC Concepcion and talks as soft and sweet as Angel Locsin, actually showed in the interview that she's got "class" and "breeding".

I like the part of the interview when Boy asked Jewel to cite names of male Kapamilya actors (other than Gerald Anderson) who she wants to work with someday.

Jewel mentioned John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, Coco Martin and Derek Ramsay.

And when asked about female Kapamilya stars, she cited Judy Ann Santos and Bea Alonzo first.

Then Jewel was quick to mention Kim Chiu's name next to Bea. (She could have been in big trouble if she forgot Kim). Jewel then added that for her, Kim is the "hottest chinita in the land".

She also likes to work with Angelica Panganiban, Shaina Magdayao and Toni Gonzaga.

Gerald Anderson teams up with Jewel Mische on TV and Sarah Geronimo in a movie

After being attached to the Kimerald loveteam for 4 years, Gerald enters into 2 new loveteams: the Jewerald (with Jewel Mische) and Ashrald (with Sarah Geronimo).

Jewel, who recently signed a 2-year contract with ABS-CBN, will be Gerald's newest leading lady in the upcoming action-serye "Bagwis". And so the "Jewerald" loveteam has been formed, coined after Jewel and Gerald.

Aside from Jewel, Gerald is also confirmed to be paired with Sarah
Geronimo in a new movie which begins filming on December 13.

Sarah and Gerald loveteam is being called "Ashrald", combined word for Asher (Sarah's 2nd name) and Gerald.

Unlike the Jewerald, the Ashrald was formed late 2008 when news broke
out then that Sarah was about to do a movie with Gerald, which didn't
push through reportedly because of major disapproval from the Kimerald
fans.

And so the Ashrald had to end but now it's being revived as the movie
partnership of Gerald and Sarah is coming very soon.

If you were to choose between Jewerald and Ashrald, which loveteam do you like?

And with those new loveteams, does this mean it's really over for the Kimerald?

Maybe not, coz Gerald will still play leading man to Kim Chiu atleast in one episode of "Your Song Presents: Kim" and for sure, they will
still be reunited someday.

The two wouldn't be who they are now if not because of the Kimerald, thus there will always be a room for them in the future.

But of course, trying out new loveteams will be good for both Gerald and Kim. It's actually moving to a higher level, just like John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, who can now be paired to any other stars.

Kim, on her part, will have different leading men in "Your Song", a
movie with Piolo Pascual and possibly another movie with John Lloyd.

New Kapamilya Jewel Mische starts workshop with Star Magic, to be paired with Gerald Anderson in "Bagwis"

Former GMA / Kapuso artist Jewel Mische has started her first assignment as a new ABS-CBN / Kapamilya talent, and that is to undergo
an extensive workshop.

Last Thursday, Jewel already submitted herself for a workshop under
Star Magic, her new management, along with other talents.

Jewel is the latest "Starstruck" graduate to transfer to ABS-CBN following Paul Salas, Megan Young, Cristine Reyes, Johan Santos, Tyrone Perez and Piero Vergara.

But unlike them, Jewel was a grand winner of StarStruck, during its 4th Season, which also had Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal and Mart Escudero as winners or what the show called as Ultimate Survivors.
Thus, Jewel is the 1st StarStruck winner to move to ABS-CBN.

It's understandable why Jewel has always wanted to switch networks since 3rd quarter of 2010 because she was never given the best break while with GMA 7, where she was under contract for more than 3 years.

Other than being a StarStruck winner, the 20-year-old actress is only best known as the ex-girlfriend of Richard Gutierrez.

So maybe with ABS-CBN, Jewel will finally shine at her brightest.

Nothing is final yet, but she is said to be joining an existing
primetime Kapamilya teleserye soon.

And for a potential loveteam, Jewel is going to be paired up with Gerald Anderson in the action-drama-serye "Bagwis".
