NU 107 Rock Awards 2010: Franco and Tanya Markova are big winners

NU 107 FM presented its 17th Rock Awards last night, October 29, 2010, at the NBC Tent, honoring the best of the best in rock music.

The 5-man rock band Franco bagged 4 awards, 3 of which were major ones: Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Also a big winner was the band Tanya Markova who won Best New Artist, Best Live Act and the Best Music Video award, which was presented by (wow!) "video expert" Hayden Kho Jr, who received loud cheers from the audience.

Hosted by "Beauty Queen" star Iza Calzado, the 2010 Rock Awards was one star-studded event with lots of performers and celebrities. It's already the last and final Rock Awards because NU 107 is reportedly going to have a major reformatting.

Aside from Hayden Jr, also in attendance were KC Concepcion, Anne Curtis and boyfriend Erwan Heussaff, couple Heart Evangelista and Daniel Matsunaga, Tim Yap and a lot more.

Some of the night's performers included Ely Buendia, Rivermaya, Bamboo, Greyhoundz, Itchyworms, Kamikazee, Pupil, Slapshock, Sugarfree, The Dawn, Up Dharma Down, The Youth and Archipelago.

Sam Concepcion romancing Jasmine Curtis?

Just because of an old photo of Sam Concepcion with Anne Curtis' sister Jasmine, the two are now rumored as boyfriend-girlfriend.

I don't think they are an item nor ex-lovers but they do look like a good pair. They can be a loveteam if ever Jasmine is all ready to enter showbiz.

Jasmine is actually being linked, not just only to Sam, but also to Gimik 2010's Franco Daza, because of this dark picture, which looks like it was shot in a bedroom:

Franco denied on SNN the other night that Jasmine is her girlfriend, but she's a close friend, he said.

Bench New Models: Franco Daza, Benjamin Tang & Jome Silayan

Franco Daza, Benjamin Tang and Jome Silayan are three of the newest Bench models / endorsers launched this year.

Franco currently stars on ABS-CBN's Gimik 2010. Did you watch ASAP XV today? Wow, Franco was full of masculinity when he come out shirtless on ASAP stage.

German-Vietnamese Benjamin Tang is an international model, having modeled already in Thailand and China. In the Philippines, he already appeared in several TVCs such as Coca-Cola, C2, Globe and the Greenwhich Lasagna commercial with Anne Curtis.

Jome Silayan meanwhile is a mixed martial artist and a Nestea Ambassador after he won the Nestea Fit Camp Hotties 2010 last April. He's also the nephew of the late beauty queen-turned-actress Chat Silayan-Bailon.

While Jome already modeled for Bench at the recent Philippine Fashion Week Holiday, all three of them will have their big debut in the Bench Uncut: Denim and Underwear Fashion Show on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.

I've heard Kenji Shirakawa, Franco's co-star in Gimik 2010, will also join them in the runway on July 2.

They are just among the many reasons to get excited of in the said Bench fashion show.

Btw, do you already have the invites (to be exchanged for tickets)? To get one, you need to avail of the promo at Bench stores.
