Really shocking, isn't it?
The above figure was posted on PEP Alerts at Pep.ph yesterday and reportedly it came from Mr. Ric Camaligan, President of the National Cinemas Association of the Philippines. He's the same guy who gave us the "record-breaking?" box-office receipts during the last MMFF.
And now, another movie has reportedly broken all-time box-office records in the Philippines, both of Pinoy and foreign films.
A movie reaching P135 million for a week is not impossible, but P135 in just 3 days? That's not so possible.
Mykiru has just learned from a Regal Films insider that as of 10PM tonight, 5 days after 'My Valentine Girls' opened in cinemas, the film has earned an estimated gross of P45 million.
According to my source, the GMA and Regal Films-produced movie indeed had a low opening gross but it has an increasing gross receipts starting in Day 2 until today.
I believe that the film, which is topbilled by Valentine Box Office King Richard Gutierrez, will be able to pick up more earnings tomorrow, Valentine's Day, then on the 15th (Pay Day) and will continue 'til the end of the month.
With an estimated 5-day gross of P45M, therefore, the movie's gross averages P8M to 10M a day and it's 3-day gross could just be between P25M and P3OM only, 5 times lower than the reported P135M.
As what I've said to @brainyoreo on Twitter a while ago, it's just a dream figure and will stay as just a dream.

My Valentine Girls' reported gross of P135 million is NOT TRUE | True figure is 5 times lower!
Were you shocked to hear that the movie 'My Valentine Girls', which opened last Feb. 9, reportedly grossed P135 million in just 3 days?
