Other than his great musicality, Gokey has a heartwarming story to back him up: Danny's wife died a month before his American Idol audition.
His ticket to Hollywood was his performance of Marvin Gaye's I Heard It Through The Grapevine and during the Hollywood Round #3, he sang 'I Hope You Dance' by Lee Ann Womack shown last night, February 10, 2009.
