Four men with four distinct voices… blending as one. YOU’VE GOT MALE!
All products of popular singing competitions, Gian Magdangal, Jan Nieto, Bryan Termulo and Harry Santos comprise the all male group “You’ve Got Male”. The quartet is a brainchild of the top thinkers of GMA 7’s top-rating noontime show, SOP as part of the segment called “Three Of A Kind”. The good reviews they have been getting is what is driving them to push their talents a little more, yet maintaining their flourishing solo careers.
Gian Magdangal and Jan Nieto ended up on equal footing as runners-up in “Philippine Idol” back in 2006. Quite interesting to note is that during the competition, they were being touted as rivals because of their opposite musical styles and backgrounds – Gian, the La Sallite was part of the group 17:28 and had a background in musical theater, while Jan, The Atenean, was a corporate geek who didn’t have any background nor training in music. Their talent didn’t go unnoticed by GMA management as they eventually joined SOP.
On the other hand, Harry Santos and Bryan Termulo trace their roots to another competition, GMA’s “Pinoy Pop Superstar”. Harry was only 16 when he tried his luck in the competition’s 2nd season, landing a spot in the Top 4. Bryan took his turn during the 3rd Season, and after a tough climb, he made it to the Top 2 and scored the runner up position during that season. They too began performing on SOP soon after their respective competitions finished.
Their unique individual styles and blend of voices is what they will showcase as they mount their first major concert aptly titled “FOUR… The First Time”. Lending their support as special guests in the concert are singer-actress Lovi Poe and Concert Queen, Ms. Pops Fernandez.
Expect a repertoire that will showcase their individual tastes in music from pop ballads to acoustic and light rock classics. They too will pay tribute to the great singer-songwriters Barry Manilow and Ogie Alcasid, as well as the enduring OPM staples of the 80’s. Of course, not to be missed will be the songs that will show off their winning voices that brought them to where they are now.
“FOUR… The First Time” will be on February 20, 2009 at the Music Museum, Showtime is at 8PM. Produced by Dream Concert Asia Entertainment Production, in cooperation with GMA 7. Tickets are available at Music Museum (721-0635) and Ticketworld (891-9999)
